The dwarf is one of the four playable races in the Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar which is confirmed to launch for all its fans worldwide on April 24, 2007. In LotRO jointly produced by Turbine and Vivendi Universal Games, the dwarves are the stoic dwellers by nature living a secluded life in stone-made caves on the snow-capped mountains and also expert miners of metal and stone. Famed for their unwavering determination, strength, and dedication to all things in their deepest land, the stocky and robust dwarves extremely oppose to the corruption of all the sworn enemies.
Despite their wish to keep liberty and solitude for eternity, they are an intrepid and fearless class which has never declined to take up any challenges aimed directly at them. The dwarves stand about 4½ to 5 feet and have a longevity of 250 years or more. The dwarves are superb warriors and expert craftsmen, showing great stamina in combats, with the ability to create a host of great inventions for the world. However, the dwarves are very different than all other three playable classes including Human, Elf, and Hobbit as three of them can be both male or female, but the dwarf race has only a male available for all potential users at the moment.
A player of this Dwarf race will be able to play these four playable classes that include Champion, Guardian, Hunter and Minstrel. The dwarves, whose starting area lies in Ered Luin, have the possession of the innate passive skills to attack adversaries standing in the path such as Lost Dwarf-Kingdoms, Stocky, Sturdiness and Unwearying in Battle. Meanwhile, the dwarves also have the special abilities directly descending from cool racial traits like Enmity of the Goblins Enmity of the Trolls Enmity of the Dourhands.
