The most intriguing aspect of the Lord of the Rings Online game lies in all its four races. These four LotRO races are modeled after J.R.R. Tolkein's fascinating species of people and men are obviously not the exception in this case too. A man race is the most well known race of all in the Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, but at the same time, they are considered to be the shortest-lived of all the races of Middle-earth within the game as well.
Because of this fact, the race of men is unavoidably characterized by their comparatively short life span or longevity. Their mortality was regarded as a unique gift from the gods, but later it was commonly known as "The Doom of Men" and a constant source of lamentation for themselves. However, they are also the humanoid race doomed to rule the entire word well beyond the Third Age.
Human being are highly considered versatile in a sense of the Lord of the Rings Online. Even though they are not as long-lived as Elves, strong as Dwarves, or resilient as hobbits in the game, men are best known for their courage and dedication to protect their human race from impending harm and danger that constantly threaten to eradicate them.
Despite their superb capability of tremendous bravery coupled with honor, Men can also easily become prey to a horrible circle of ambition, greed, deceit, and betrayal. Well known to the Hobbit race of the Shire merely in the name of the "Big Folk", men are marked by a big, strong frame of body. Taking a unique place within J.R.R. Tolkien's lore, they obviously are the race of destiny because they are always easily swayed by external distractions and too ambitious in whatever they do.
